The Jonesville Business Association recently completed a fundraiser to benefit Tri-County Christian Crisis Ministry in Jonesville.
More than $700 was raised and donated to Tri-C as the result of a raffle for an iPad mini that was donated by Yadtel’s new Jonesville location.
Kim Spainhour of Dobson was the winner of the iPad, which was presented to her on May 7 at Yadtel.
JBA President Anita Darnell said, “We were extremely excited to be able to raise money for such a worthy organization. The Jonesville Business Association was formed to promote local businesses, and we felt that our first fund-raiser should benefit Tri-County Christian Crisis Ministry which helps so many people in Jonesville and the surrounding areas.”
The JBA is also supporting Jonesville resident and reigning Ms. Wheelchair North Carolina 2013, Ashley Macemore, who is raising the money for a trip to compete in the Ms. Wheelchair America pageant.
The Jonesville Business Association became acquainted with Macmore and made a donation to her at the May 4 Jonesville Jubliee at Lila Swaim Park.
The Jonesville Business Association was formed in the summer of 2012 and strives to promote its members as well as other civic groups and organizations in Jonesville. JBA meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month for the purpose of helping shape Jonesville promotions and to allow members to network and meet fellow Jonesville merchants.
