First United Methodist Church, Elkin is offering an opportunity for those who wish to take a break from all the pressures of the holiday season to acknowledge their feelings that seem counter to the season. A Service of Light in Darkness is open to everyone on the longest night of the year, Friday, Dec. 21, 7 pm in the Chapel of First United Methodist Church located at 340 Hawthorne Road, Elkin.
