Archie Watkins and Smoky Mountain Reunion from Bryson City will be in concert at Old Roaring River Baptist Church on the Longbottom Road on Friday at 7 p.m. Archie and Troy Burns were part of the original Inspiration Quartet. Eddie Deitz and Martin Shubert joined the Inspirations in 1969. A love offering will be taken.
There will be a spaghetti supper fundraiser at the BROC Austin Meal Site on Friday at 6 p.m. It will be served with a salad, dessert, and drink for $10. There will be door prizes and Elvis is going to make an appearance.
There will be a chili cook-off and silent auction as a fundraiser to benefit the Gateway to Guatemala Mission Team at Roaring Gap Baptist Church on March 26 at noon. This is sponsored by the Roaring Gap youth and will be donations only.
Traphill Baptist Church will have an Easter egg hunt for the kids on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. Pastor Mike Caldwell invites all kids to join in the fun.

Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church will have an Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m., followed with breakfast in the fellowship hall. Sunday school will be at 9 a.m. and worship service at 10 a.m. There will be no evening service.
Old Roaring River Baptist Church will have an Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. There will be no Sunday school and the worship service will be at 9 a.m. The offering taken that day will go to the cemetery fund to pay for mowing. Pastor James Pardue invites everyone to worship with them.
Mount Pisgah Baptist Church will have Easter sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday school will at 9 a.m. and worship service at 10 a.m. Pastor Tracy Nichols invites everyone to attend.

The Austin Ball Park will be signing up folks to play ball on March 19 and March 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $30 per player or $60 for a family up to four ($10 each for more than four). For more information, check their Facebook page “Austin Ballpark.” They also need volunteers for coaching, concessions, score box and field maintenance.

Congratulations to Matthew and Michelle Kennedy on the birth of a son, Carter Reed Kennedy, born on March 7. Carter has a big sister, Willow Grace. Congratulations to Delaney Jolly on being accepted to the Governor’s School of Art in Raleigh. She will spend five and a half weeks there in the summer.
