The Traphill Fire Department will have Soup and Bingo on Saturday, beginning at 6 p.m. All prizes will have a value of $20 or more.

New books available to check out at the Traphill Branch Library include “The Accidental Empress” by Allison Pataki, “The Adventures of Beekle: The Unimaginaary Friend” by Dan Santat, “The Bazaar of Bad Dreams:Stories” by Stephen King, “Beach Town” by Mary Kay Andrews, “Bear and Bunny” by Daniel Manus Pinkwater, “The Cavendon Women” by Barbara Taylor Bradford, “A Christmas Bride in Pinecraft: An Amish Brides of Pinecraft Christmas Novel” by Shelley Spephard Gray, and “Deadlock” by DiAnn Mills.

A lot of Traphill folks need your prayers for good health. Dennis Norman had surgery last week. Shirley Wiles, Angie Joines, Chris Ayers and Lester (PeeWee) Billings have all been in the hospital in the last week. Danielle Summerlin needs everyone’s prayers as she fights cancer.

Happy birthday wishes go to Lorraine Wiles, Jonathan Wingler, Ricky McGrady, Jacob Johnson and Katherine Bauguess on Jan. 11; Bryson John Gambill on Jan. 12; Breanna Bowers and Keri Hall on Jan. 13; Lucille Wiles and Joe Woodie on Jan. 14; Wendy Porter on Jan. 16; and Danielle Dunn and Mark Wood on Jan. 17.

Traphill had a low temperature of 16.8 degrees on Jan. 6 and a high temperature of 57.7 degrees on Jan. 7. There was .7 inch of rain in Traphill during the week of Jan. 4-10.
