The Friends of Traphill Branch Library have a yard sale set up at the Traphill Tan & Tone on Traphill Road and if you missed it last Saturday, you can still check it out until Christmas. There are lots of great bargains.

New books available to check out at the Traphill Branch Library include “The Complete Guide to Bible Prophecy,” “The Complete Visual Bible,” “Bible Snapshots,” “The Protector’s Mission” by Margaret Daley and “Her Holiday Protector” by Lenora Worth.

New DVDs ready to check out include “The Longest Ride,” “Minions,” “Disney Descendants,” “Disney Cinderella (2015),” “Pixels” and “Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1”

The library will be closed for Christmas on Dec. 24 and 26.

The Traphill Fire Department reports it made 19 calls in the month of November, making a total of 149 calls for the year of 2015.

Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church on the Traphill Road will have a Christmas play on Saturday at 6 p.m. Pastor Ritchie Harris invites everyone to attend.

About 75 people attended the Eller Christmas get together at the Traphill Fire Department last Sunday. Everyone enjoyed good food and fellowship.

Happy anniversary wishes go to David and Ivadene Leatherman, who celebrate their 49th anniversary on Dec. 16; Mary and Richard Harris, who celebrate their 52nd anniversary on Dec. 19; Jackie and Maxine McGrady, who celebrate their 29th anniversary on Dec. 20; and Bonnie and Danny Butcher, who celebrate their 46th anniversary on Dec. 20.

Traphill had a low temperature of 32.3 degrees on Dec. 8 and a high temperature of 75 degrees on Dec. 12. There was no rain in Traphill during the week of Dec. 4-14.
