New books available to check out at Traphill Branch Library include “Killing Season: A Thriller” by Faye Kellerman, “The Last Ballad” by Wiley Cash, “Lilac Lane” by Sherryl Woods, “Llama Llama and Friends” by Anna Dewdney and “Love Held Captive” by Shelley Shepard Gray.

Since the library was closed for Veterans Day on Nov. 11 and will be for Thanksgiving on Nov. 23 and 25, the library will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Congratulations to Jessica Hudspeth on the birth of a baby boy, Waylon Grant, on Nov. 3. His proud grandmother is Sherry Hudspeth and great-grandmother is Barbara Wiles.

Get well wishes go to Susanne Reavis, who is doing well after getting a knee replacement last week.

Happy birthday wishes go to Russell Sidden, Anna Lee Owens and Jack Thomas on Nov. 13; Sheila Sidden on Nov. 14; Tabitha Smith and Stephanie Knight on Nov. 15; Averie Elizabeth Knight on Nov. 16; Walter Lewis Kennedy, Bonnie Bauguess, Andrew Pardue, Donald Bauguess and Jesse Spears on Nov. 17; and Helen Holbrook and Michael Miles on Nov. 19.

Happy anniversary wishes go to Hardin and Becky Kennedy, who celebrate their 18th anniversary on Nov. 13; Linville and Debbie Absher, who celebrate their 32nd on Nov. 15; and Walter and Wanda Hutchinson, who celebrate their 43rd anniversary on Nov. 16.

Traphill had a low temperature of 30.7 degrees on Nov. 11 and a high temperature of 65.8 degrees on Nov. 6. There was .7 inch of rain during the week of Nov. 6-12. The first killing frost of the season was on Nov. 11.
