The Elkin Police Department released the following information for Aug. 12-18.
• Jereme Joseph Rasmussen, 22, of Hamptonville, was picked up by authorities and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver LSD, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver clonopin, maintaining a drug vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $70,500 secured and a court date of Sept. 8.
• In a second incident, Bobby Stevens Blackburn, 39, of McGrady, was charged by police with burglary, possession of burglary tools and trespassing. His bond was set at $10,000 secured with a Oct. 6 court date.
Brady Leon Spicer, 43, of Traphill, also was charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools and trespassing. His bond was also set at $10,000 and he will have a Oct. 6 court date.
According to Capt. Kim Robison with the Elkin Police Department, the duo were reported as suspicious persons in the area of N.C. 268 and Brookwood Drive.
“During the course of the investigation, the officers alleged that Blackburn and Spicer were attempting to break into Vaughan-Bassett,” said Robison.
An investigation continues in the incident.
