College Fall 2013 Student Art Show highlights variety of artwork
DOBSON — Thirty-nine students are featured artists at the Fall 2013 Student Art Show at Surry Community College.
The Fall 2013 Student Art Show is open until March 1, 2014, at the Shelton-Badgett Center for Viticulture and Enology on the Surry Community College campus in Dobson. The show, sponsored by the Surry Community College Art Club, features a variety of artwork including graphic design, drawings, photography and ceramics.
Students participating in the show are:
• Evan Hinshaw of East Bend; Tyler Halstead and Kayla Atkins of Hamptonville; Caitlin Breuninger of Roanoke Rapids; Trevor Smith of Ararat; Haley Genet of Rural Hall; Gatlin Hiatt and Mary Lou Marion of Lowgap; Amanda Gullatt, Geoffrey Walker, Ryan Whelan, Brandi Durham and Anita Hairston of Elkin.
• Jacob Bryant of Jonesville; Chelsea McCormick, April Southard and Ashley Felts of Boonville; Stephanie Miller of Yadkinville; Christina Brinkley Rizada, Jennie Seo, Collan Kammerer, Heaven Clark, Carolina Wall, Derek Bennett, Sara Richins, Corinna Dollyhigh, Matthew Snow, Samantha Wallace and Coua Yang of Mount Airy.
• Eloi Solis-Escamilla and Harrison Crowder of Thomasville; Jonathan “Ross” Byrd of Thurmond; Ethan Bullin and Jincy Little of King; Rocio Pineda, Lila Reep, Melissa Fritzinger, Angelica Lopez and Juan Leonides of Dobson.

Surry Community offers an associate’s degree and certificate in Advertising and Graphic Design Technology, both on campus and online, along with an associate’s degree in Fine Arts.
