Jonesville Police have arrested a South Carolina man on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

William Bledsoe Hawkins, 33, of Charleston, S.C. was taken into custody in the Food Lion parking lot Sept. 21 at noon.

According to a incident report with the police department Hawkins was charged with a felony charge of cocaine possession, a felony charge of maintaining a drug vehicle, a misdemeanor charge of simple possession of a schedule II drug, and a misdemeanor charge of possessing/concealing drug equipment or paraphernalia.

Hawkins was listed as driving a 2013 Ford Taurus which has been impounded at Country Motors.

According to the report Hawkins had been consuming either alcohol or drugs, but the report did not distinguish which.

Police seized .20 grams of cocaine. The drug was listed as “ cocaine (all forms except ‘crack’).”

Hawkins was charged with possession of cocaine but not for attempting to manufacture or sell the drug.
