JONESVILLE — Two people were arrested Sunday in connection with drugs in Jonesville.
Kenneth Ray Williams, 50, of Yadkinville, and April Hollis Wood, 42, of Jonesville, were arrested at 4:15 Sunday afternoon at Wood’s home at 110 Loop Avenue.
The two allegedly were found to be in possession of 0.88 ounces of marijuana.
The official charges for Williams are one misdemeanor count of simple assault, one misdemeanor count of drug paraphernalia, and one misdemeanor count of simple possession.
Wood was charged with one misdemeanor count of simple assault, one misdemeanor count of drug paraphernalia, one misdemeanor count of simple possession of Schedule VI controlled substance, one misdemeanor count of assault on an officer, and one misdemeanor count of non-assaultive child abuse.
A child at the residence was taken by the Department of Social Services.
Both Williams and Wood were listed as confined in the Yadkin Jail at 6:05 p.m. Sunday, according to a incident report with the Jonesville Police.
Williams received a $2,000 secured bond. Wood’s secured bond was set at $10,000.
They are scheduled to appear in Yadkin court Feb. 12.
