YADKIN COUNTY — Two suspects were charged by police for an alleged theft in Boonville. One of the suspects is a 64-year-old man.

According to the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office, police received a call on May 6 from a property owner located on Ralph Road in Boonville, NC who said two male subjects were in the process of attempting to steal items from his shop.

According to police, the two suspects had left the scene prior to deputies arriving. During the investigation it was determined that the suspects had entered the shop and allegedly removed items and attempted to take items from outside the shop.

Police say the property owner was able to provide a vehicle description and license plate number to deputies.

After further investigaton, the two suspects were identified as William Franklin Hutchens, 64, of Yadkinville and Jimmie Delane Henderson, 19, of Ronda.

Both Hutchens and Henderson turned themselves in at the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office on May 7. Hutchens and Henderson were each charged with 1 count each felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and felony attempted larceny and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.

All stolen items were recovered and returned to the property owner.
