DOBSON — Surry Community College will be offering a 3-D Modeling course for beginners starting May 24 and running through Aug. 4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. in the K-Building, Surry Community College, 630 S. Main St., Dobson.
This training is geared toward machinists, fabricators, manufacturers, and small businesses. Students will create 3D models of their designs/products and test for fit, form, and function before spending valuable time manufacturing a product that may not fit together. Studies will include basic 3D modeling techniques using Solid Edge ST8, design-intent, file management, and design theory among other topics.
This course will prepare you to take the Solid Edge Certification Exam and become an officially Certified Solid Edge Professional. Advanced registration and payment of $127 are required.
