Dobson students learn coding

Shari Thomas’ kindergarten class at Dobson Elementary School has been learning about coding. One of the first activities was to place characters and events on a grid. The they placed arrows to sequence through the story. Then they learned how to use the Code-a-pillar and the Code and Go Mouse. The students were so excited to make them go! The class can not wait to do more problem solving with coding in the future. It looks like we have many future computer programmers at Dobson Elementary. Here, Luke Hampton, Aubrey Jones and Isaiah Johnson work to code the mouse to get to the cheese.
