Foothills Theatre starts up its 46th season with Tommie Ann Tulbert of Elkin as Norleen, Bailey Atkins of Mount Airy as Hayley, Kitsey Burns of East Bend as Savannah, and Scott Carpenter of Mount Airy as Red — just four of the 24 characters in the play “Mama Won't Fly.” The show opens today at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church Elkin fellowship hall with performances also on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door and include dessert.
