Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Chief Information Officer Lee Powe has been named one of the top 100 Community Hospital Chief Information Officers to know in the U.S. for 2017 by Becker’s Hospital Review, a healthcare industry leader offering up-to-date business and legal news and analysis relating to hospitals and health systems.
A release from Becker’s said CIOs on the list all lead health information technology teams that have implemented electronic health records systems, lead cyber security initiatives and managed telehealth/telemedicine programs.
“While Lee would be the first to credit his team for this acknowledgement, this recognition truly is a testament to the expertise, dedication and strong leadership Lee brings every day to Hugh Chatham,” said hospital Chief Executive Officer Paul Hammes.
Becker’s release also said that CIOs included on the top 100 list are at the helm of organizations that have been recognized nationally for their quality care and patient satisfaction.
In July, Hugh Chatham was named for the third consecutive year as a “most wired” U.S. hospital by Hospitals & Health Networks for its use of technology to provide excellent access to quality care.
