Elkin Elementary School students hold favorite book character parade


In honor of Read Across America Week, which occurs during the March 2 birthday of Dr. Seuss, students and teachers at Elkin Elementary School dressed as characters from their favorite books on Thursday. Principal Pam Colbert, dressed as Little Red Riding Hood, noted that students also had built a Dr. Seuss village in the MakerSpace as well as holding the Character Parade.
