Comic Mom

Who’s Tricia?

"Her technical authoring skills and earnest libertarian lactation advocacy proved invaluable to me." – former co-worker

Have a baby, quit corporate job, do stand-up comedy, breastfeed, homeschool. Aren’t those things on everyone’s to-do list? Comic, video blogger, technical writer and editor, and former English teacher, Tricia Shore, is, according to keen comic observer and former “All Washed Up” producer, Christy Murphy : “everyone’s favorite mom.” Well, among the tattooed mom crowd, perhaps.

Whether she’s being rejected by the Laugh Factory because she was breastfeeding her then three-month old son or keeping her children far from a public school, Tricia is not your average mom. Her quirky sense of humor appeals to grown women who are still obsessed with Star Wars and occasionally, some other group of the equally disenfranchised.

Voted “wittiest” by Mrs. Jernigan’s eighth grade class, Tricia will have you ROFLOL before the dryer cycle finishes. Her observations on everyday life as a mom prove that a math degree can be quite valuable. To wit, her famous polynomial equation: Love + Lust + Liquor = Honda Odyssey.

You can see Tricia work out her material weekly at that fabulous weight room of comedy, Canoga Park Bowl, where talent oozes all the way into Thousand Oaks.

What Makes a Comic Mom?
Caleb, Micah, and baby Jadon have made Tricia into one of the funniest women around, or as Christy Murphy of "All Washed Up" puts it, "Everybody's Favorite Mom." Currently, Tricia is taking her newborn on stage with her, "I can't leave him with his dad," says Tricia, "his father sucks at breastfeeding!" Tricia appears regularly at Aztec Hotel in Monrovia, Lucy's LaundryMart in Silver Lake, Martini Blues in Huntington Beach, Panera Bread in Studio City, and Second Stage Theatre in Anaheim. She's working on creating her own reality show, a quest for sanity in the midst of three boys under five.

In addition to comedy, Tricia has over ten years of experience as a technical writer and editor, and over five years of experience as an English teacher. Tricia can talk to your company or group about something that’s equally needed by corporations, homeschooling groups, and Oprah watchers: A funny presentation on grammar! Tricia has had great success with her seminar, “What’s So Funny About Grammar?” We hope soon to have some “What’s So Funny About Grammar?” videos, but for now, Tricia can present useful and helpful information to your company or group on everyday grammar errors that you can easily correct!

Hire me to make your next baby shower, birthday, or anniversary even more special!

Are you looking for someone to spice up your baby shower, anniversary, birthday, or other happy occasion? Tricia can provide you, your friends, your family, and your co-workers with good clean fun about being a mom. Tricia travels all over Southern California and North Carolina showing families how to laugh about the little things before those things become giant fodder for therapy. If you laugh a lot, you love a lot, says Tricia.
