Readers' Choice

Some changes have occurred with the annual Tribune Best of the Best 2017 Readers’ Choice awards contest, which will allow more time for readers to cast their ballots.

The changes involved a nomination period, which ends Monday at 11:59 p.m. on Those interested can only nominate one candidate per category.

Once nominees are submitted, then readers can go online to actually vote on those who are nominated to determine who will be the Best of the Best. Voting on the candidates nominated will be held Tuesday through through April 24 at midnight, and ballots can be cast once a day during that time period.

The Readers’ Choice campaign allows those in the readership area to go online to, and nominate and then vote on their choice for Best of the Best for everything from accountants to burgers, to volunteers and pastors and much more.

To get to the contest, go to, and click on the icon on the right for Readers’ Choice. Once on the contest submission page, select categories for nominating by clicking on the three horizontal lines just below the blue line reading “Gallery,” and clicking “Ballot.”

After voting closes on April 24 and ballots are counted, winners will be announced in a special issue in the coming weeks.
