WILKESBORO — The Wilkes County High School Theatre Department will be presenting “Snow White & the 7 Dwarves,” Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m.

The Theatre Department is sponsored by Kiwanis Terrific Kids Program and (SmartStart) Wilkes Community Partnership for Children. Concessions will be available at the show, and tickets will be sold at the door and are $5. Kids 5 years and younger get in free. Shows will be at the Stone Family Center for the Performing Arts. The Wilkes County High Theatre Department involves students from all five high schools.

The wonderful world of the Brothers Grimm is brought to life in this delightful adaptation, but the familiar story loses nothing in the way of excitement, adventure and fun. All the old friends are here, the lovely Princess, the mischievous Dwarfs, the Prince, the Huntsman, and the evil Queen.

But wait until you meet the hilarious palace Cat and the Enchanted Fox. In this version, the Magic Mirror not only talks — it walks! Shiver and shake as the scheming Queen transforms herself into various personalities like Esmeralda, the young peddler, and a withered Crone so horrible even the Queen herself is terrified! Don’t forget that poisonous apple waiting for our heroine. Laughs, chases through the forest and more than enough stage magic to light up and delight audiences of all ages. This is one of the most popular tales of all time, and it never fails to enchant and amaze.

Cast includes Jadie Roten (Queen), Marshall Brooks (Fox), Zoe Palmer (Crone), Makayla Mullis (Magic Mirror), Mitchell Brown (Huntsman), Ben Foster (Prince), Nathan Shepherd (Ticklish), Caleb Helton (Spritely), Alex Hernandez (Sarge), Ashley Foster (Cat), Darren Wyatt (Slowpoke), Elisia Metz (Gloomy Gus), Gracie Brock (Steve), Jayme Martin (Snow White), Jon Worley (Snore), Rosalee Reavis (Esmeralda), Hailey Hogan (Gabby). Tech includes: Director – Destiny Smith, Stagemanages – Olivia Palmer, Bradley Price & Ashley Call, Tech Crew & construction – Ben Adair, Katlyn Coleman & Cast.
