About Wendy Byerly Wood:

Wendy Byerly Wood has been with the company since February 2001. She started out as a reporter at The Mount Airy News, and has since worked as editor at The Stokes News and the Weekly Independent and associate editor at Mount Airy. For some time she has served as editor of The Pilot, a position she retains, and in October 2013 she became editor for The Elkin Tribune and The Yadkin Ripple. She lives in Pilot Mountain with her husband, Johnnie III, and their son, Jackson Kourtland "Kourt" who is 4.

About Beanie Taylor:

An Ohio native, Beanie Taylor moved to Elkin in the autumn of 2015 and has been “falling” in love with it ever since. As the newest member of our team, Beanie is putting her blogging and photography skills to work for The Tribune where her love of history and the out of doors have come in handy.  When not enjoying her job as a reporter where she learns something new every day, she likes to travel with her husband Bill and their Bichon Frise Corky to visit friends and family, binge watching a wide variety of TV shows, or reading whenever she is alone.

About Kristian Russell:

Kristian Russell is a recent graduate from UNC Wilmington where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in communication studies and journalism. She grew up in East Bend, where she attended Forbush High School until she graduated in 2010. Kristian played soccer for four years, and volleyball for three years while at Forbush. She has been a freelance writer for several different soccer websites over the past five years.
