Mrs. Edith Karen Elledge of State Road passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, in Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was 58.

She was born June 26, 1952, in Surry County to Ira Gene and Margie Edith Harris Cranford.

Mrs. Elledge was a member of Central Full Gospel Church where she sang in the church choir. She loved to take care of the elderly and was a loving mother and sister and she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Shaun Keith Elledge.

She is survived by her daughter Anessa Lynn Elledge of Boonville; brothers Jimmy “Bo” Cranford and wife Donnalene of Elkin; and Michael Cranford and wife Tammie of Boonville; sisters Shirley Hinson of Jonesville, Opal Holsclaw and husband Alvin of Elkin, Christine Kingston and husband David of Elkin, Brenda Holsclaw and husband Linville of Boonville, and Vicky Goins and her husband “Lummie” of State Road.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Central Full Gospel Church with Rev. Bobby Norman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Central Full Gospel Church.
