She was born Nov. 17, 1944 to the late Harley and Bessie Marshall Buelin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Yarboro; two brothers James Buelin and Charles Buelin.
She is survived by her husband Leon Swaim, of the home; her children Danny Swaim of Hamptonville; Tammy and husband Michael Poteat of State Road; Kristy and husband Emory Casstevens of Hamptonville; eight grandchildren Dusty and wife Krystal Swaim, Bo Swaim, Daniel Swaim, Megan Poteat, Haley Poteat, Kassey Casstevens, Hunter Poteat and Matthew Poteat; three great-grandchildren Danielle Swaim, Dylan Swaim, Presley Swaim; a sister Annie Shumate; and a brother Delmar Buelin.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Thursday Sept. 2, 2010, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m.Thursday Sept. 2, 2010, at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville by the Rev. Jim Holbrook.
