The Tri Star Outlaws AAU organization will be holding tryouts for the upcoming AAU season. Tryouts will be on Sept. 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and also on Sept. 13 from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. Both tryouts will be at Forbush Elementary School Gym. Elkin Recreation center to hold Volleyball Clinic
Elkin Recreation & Parks is offering a Girls Volleyball Clinic on Tuesday evenings from 6:15pm-7:30pm for girls 7-13 years old.
The program will be held on Tuesdays beginning August 31, and will run through October. Keith Briand will be the instructor.

Yadkin Valley Cyclones to hold tryouts
The Yadkin Valley Cyclones AAU Boy’s basketball teams will be having tryouts on August 29 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Wilkes Central High School’s Auxiliary Gym.

The Buckin’ Elks will travel to Mount Airy Friday for their game at North Surry.
East Wilkes Football
East Wikes wil host Surry Central Friday evening. Both teams are off to a 0-1 start for 2010.
