YADKINVILLE — A Harmony man was charged last week in connection with a fraud and theft case.

On Jan. 3, deputies with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office charged Jamie Shaun Renegar, 42, with one count of misdemeanor larceny, one felony count of financial card fraud and one felony count of financial card theft.

Renegar allegedly had stolen a credit card belonging to a relative and used it at an ATM machine getting about $780 in cash. He also had stolen about $250 in cash from the victim, according to the sheriff’s office.

“He had taken the credit card and money during the same incident,” said Margie Howell, a special investigation assistant for the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office.

Renegar was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
