Woman arrested on drug charges in Jonesville

A woman was arrested at the Jonesville Comfort Inn Saturday on numerous drug charges.

Tina Rose Hamby, 34, of Hay, N.C., was arrested at Room 204 at 6 a.m. Three milliliters of opium allegedly were found in her possession according to police records.

An arrest report with the Jonesville Police said Hamby was charged with one felony count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, a felony charge of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place with controlled substances, one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, one misdemeanor count of simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of larceny.

Hamby was taken to the Yadkin Jail and listed as confined at 11:38 a.m. Saturday morning. Her 1997 Chevrolet Blazer was impounded at Country Motors.

Hamby received a $10,000 secured bond. Her trial date was set for March 12 in Yadkinville.
