Falcons bring home cheerleading state title

RALEIGH — The Lady Falcons captured the North Carolina High School Cheerleading State Championship last weekend in Raleigh.

Forbush topped 15 other schools from across the state in the non-tumbling division, while finishing second in the overall scores.

The Falcons finished with a team score of 127.8, coming up just behind Houff for the Carolina Cup, who finished with 130 points.

Forbush is coached by Christina Foster, Angel Hare, Lark Williams and Emily Davis.

Team members include: Alexis Abillar, Madison Hill, Hannah Sheek, Jessica Havens, Payton Irvin, Elizabeth Johnson, Kailey Neal, Lori Brandon, Kristian Blakley, Jessica Robichaud, Carlie Taylor, Carley Younger, Summer Spillman, Haley Dotson, Yazmin Ocampo, Angel Defelice, Madison Hutchens, Lauren Hobson, Makenzie Brown, Emily Wilson, Britny Cohn, Nicole Perrin, Lauren Willard, Alyssa Huffman and Olivia Wingler.

The Lady Falcons will be headed to Nationals in Myrtle Beach, S.C., in March 2014.
