Jonesville man arrested for beating Elkin man with brass knuckles

A Joneville man is facing a November trial date following an alledged beating of an Elkin man.

William Edward Taylor, 28, of Jonesville was arrested Sept. 22 at 2:30 p.m on three charges, according to an incident report with the Jonesville Police Department.

According to the report Taylor was charged with one misdemeanor count of assault with a deadly weapon for striking a man from Elkin with brass knuckles.

He was also charged with assaulting a Jonesville woman, a misdemeanor charge of assault on a female.

The report listed the attack as Taylor “grabbing [the] female subject causing marks…”

A misdemeanor count was also charged against Taylor for a Sept. 10 warrant.

Taylor was confined in the Yadkin Jail with no bond listed. His trial date is set for Nov. 13 in Yadkinville.
