Billy Graham’s grandson will be the guest speaker at this year’s Find Hope 20123 event in Yadkinville.

The grandson of the famed evangelist, Lotz is also an evangelist himself. He will appear during the free-to-the-public outdoor concert Oct. 5 at 6:30 p.m.

In addition to Lotz will be Kenny Lamm, the head of music and worship for the North Carolina Baptist State Convention. Lamm will be leading the music for the Find Hope event.

“The purpose of the event is to share with people how they can find hope right now in 2013 by developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ,” Aaron Misenheimer said.”The event is called Find Hope 2013 because the focus of the event is how people can find hope in their lives in 2013.”

Misenheimer is the music director for the Yadkin Baptist Association and the event coordinator for Find Hope.

Miseneheimer said the buzz surrounding Lotz’ visit was already beginning.

“People that I’ve talked to have been very excited to hear that Jonathan is coming to speak for us and I know with the large number of churches participating there is already a lot of interest in this event,” he said. “Kenny [Lamm] has chosen very inspirational music for the evening and Jonathan has a unique story to tell of how he has overcome cancer, divorce and other obstacles in life.”

The event is expected to last between an hour and a half to two hours. The YBA choir and band of approximately 100 people will perform.

A Christian rock band will also perform special music.

Find Hope is hosted by the YBA and will be located at Lincrest Farms at the intersection of Old Stage Road and Highway 601.

The county’s baptist association is made up of 29 churches from in and around Yadkin. Pastors from the member churches will be on hand to talk and pray with those who would like to about needs or concerns in their lives.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own seating as the event is held in a large field with no provided chairs. No pets, other than service animals, and no alcohol or tobacco products are allowed.

In the event of rain the concert will be moved to Yadkinville Elementary School.
