The Small Business Center of Surry Community College will offer the free seminar “LinkedIn for Your Business” on Wednesday, Sept. 18. This session will meet from 6:15 until 8:45 p.m. in room J-114 on the college campus in Dobson, located at 630 South Main Street. Networking strategist Teddy Burriss will be the presenter for this session.


“Regardless of the size of your business or the industry you are in, LinkedIn is a beneficial business tool,” said Susan Coble, Coordinator of SCC’s Small Business Center. “Using your LinkedIn profile and company page is a powerful way to build relationships that can build business success. Using LinkedIn is different than just having a profile and can be very beneficial in establishing credibility. Join us as we show you how to participate and get value for your business.”


The Small Business Center of Surry Community College will also offer “Capturing Your Customers with Video, Photos and Podcasts” on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 6 until 8:30 p.m. at the Yadkin Center, located at 4649 Hwy 601 in Yadkinville.


Social Media and SEO expert Martin Brossman of Brossman and Associates will be the presenter for this free seminar. Brossman is a leader in networking and small business training in North Carolina. He is a powerful trainer of small and micro-business owners and is masterful at helping people find their greatest strengths and develop businesses around them.


“Join us for this introductory seminar to online media and learn how to build your brand and increase revenue. Videos and podcasts bring testimonials to life,” said Susan Coble, Coordinator of SCC’s Small Business Center. “They build trust and increase confidence in your business. Videos, photos, and podcasts also make your business more visible in search engines.”
