Grandson charged with stealing grandfather’s credit card

A Yadkinville man has been charged with stealing his grandfather’s credit card.

Garrett Matthew Blevins, 21, of Yadkinville was arrested Aug. 27 and charged with one felony count of financial card theft and one misdemeanor count of false representation as a cardholder, according to a Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Blevins reportedly stole his grandfather’s card and used it twice at a Yadkinville grocery store.

When the authorities arrested Blevins at his address they found drug paraphernalia, adding an extra misdemeanor charge for possession of drug paraphernalia to his list of charges.

He was given a secured $7,500 bond according to the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office.
