Jonesville Police made two arrests Friday, Feb. 8.
Jesse Nicole Alexander, 18 of Ronda, was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession, and resist obstruct delay, according to a Jonesville Police Department incident report.
John William Holbrook, 22, of Thurmond, was arrested and charged with having an outstanding warrant in Surry County for second degree trespassing, according to the incident report.
The arrests were made on Shaw Street in Jonesville. Police received a suspicious persons report near the construction area around the Jonesville Water Plant. According to Officer Michael Hutchens of the Jonesville Police Department, the area is a known drug use location.
“They go down next to the river behind the Water Plant to use their drugs and come back out,” Hutchens said, adding that as they arrived the accused were coming back. “Where they are doing construction they had construction vehicles all over the place, and they had some kind of a pipe on the front of a lift and they (the accused) just happened to get trapped in there and couldn’t get away.”
Officer Hutchens assisted Officer Darron Pruitt in the arrest. According to the arrest report, Hutchens ran Holcomb’s information and found that he had an outstanding warrant in Surry County for second degree trespass, the report said.
Upon discovering this, Hutchens placed Holbrook into custody and transported him to the Yadkin County Magistrates Office. There he received a $500 unsecured bond, according to the report.
