Lady Rams dominate all-conference honors

BOONVILLE - Mountain Valley Conference champion Starmount continued its dominance when the conference released its annual awards last week.

Senior Ashton Gregory captured her second-straight Player of the Year Award, while Jon Symons was named the Coach of the Year as the Lady Rams swept the awards.

Erin Barr, Haley Hartman and Josie Matthews joined Gregory on the All-MVAC team, while Rachel Wagoner earned an honorable mention.

Cayley Shoemaker was Elkin’s lone award recipient on the honorable mention list.

East Wilkes placed two honorees on the all-conference team with Cassi Gregory and Ashley Hayes receiving the nod.

Samantha Crabb and Adrian Pardue were named honorable mentions for the Lady Cards.
