The Austin Fire Dept is having a free pinto supper on Saturday, Nov, 10 beginning at 6 PM. Everyone is invited.

New books available at the Traphill Branch Library include “River of Mercy” by B.J. Hoff, “Pieces of the Past” by Susan Page Davis, “Time to Share” by Jo Ann Brown, “As Sure as the Dawn” by Francine Rivers, “Sarah’s Key” by Tatiana De Rosney, “Life with Lily” by Mary Ann Kinsinger andSuzanne Woods Fisher, “Flight of the Raven” by Ellen Harris, and “The Long Shot” by Ellen Hartman.

A new DVD at the library is “Dear John” based on the book by Nicholas Sparks. Movies can be checked out for one week with your library card.

Do you have an e-reader? Now you can check out e-books at the library! Go to the library website at http://www.arlibrary.org and you can find directions on how to download them by clicking on “download e-books” in the upper right corner. A bonus is that you don’t have to worry about e-books getting overdue—they just disappear when the check out time is up.

The Friends of Traphill Branch Library will have a meeting on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 2 PM. Everyone interested in the library is invited to attend and help make the library the best it can be.

Condolences go to the families of Blanche Brown and Albert Hincher who passed away last week. They will be missed by all that knew them.

Traphill had a low temperature of 34.5 degrees on Nov. 3 and a high temperature of 70.7 degrees on Nov. 3. There was a sprinkle of rain a couple of times during the week of Oct 29—Nov. 4 but nothing in the rain gauge.
