Art Walk to be held Friday

Foothills Arts Council is having an Art Walk featuring downtown businesses and local artists on Friday.

The event coincides with the Foothills Arts Council’s gallery opening for the Anne Gulley exhibit Mytholog.eyes. The arts council will be open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Come enjoy the art, conversation and refreshments. McRitchie Winery and Ciderworks will be on hand for pouring. As always, there is no admission cost to our opening reception.The arts council is located at 129 Church Street, Elkin.

Also open during the Art Walk will be the Reeves Theater, 129 W. Main St., featuring the photography of Kimberly Seipel-Parks. Erik Dahlager’s photography will be on display above Diana’s Bookstore at 127 W. Main St. The work of many local artists can be found at the Yadkin Valley Craft Guild, 126 W. Main St. Stores that will be open during the hours of 6:30-8:30 p.m. include Brushy Mountain Winery, 125 W. Main St.; Circle of Friends, 120 W. Main St.; and the Habitat Home Shoppe, 102 E. Market St.

As you are walking by, be sure to check out the aesthetic installations in the storefronts of 105 W. Main St., 115 W. Market St., 113 N. Bridge St., 206 E. Main St., and 128 S. Bridge St.
